Explore the "North by Old Northeast" on St. Pete Preservation's Guided Walking Tour

This walking tour starts downtown, then heads toward the waterfront with stops to learn about the creation of our 100+-year-old waterfront park system, the City's first million dollar hotel, the million dollar pier, and other stories about St. Pete’s booming 1920s. The tour then proceeds into the historic Old Northeast, a neighborhood that has retained much of its historic look and feel. Walking outdoors and learning about the history of one of our most beautiful neighborhoods. The tour will stop for an inside look in a restored old northeast home. The tour ends at the Vinoy Hotel where you are welcome to relax with a drink on the verandah or you can hop aboard the Looper trolley for a ride back downtown.
